Trench buddies

There are times in your life when you're in the trenches - and it's "just" you and God. Those are special times to realize that God IS enough. Then there are other times when you are in the trenches - and though God is enough - and you know that by now - He is gracious enough to bring along some "trench buddies" who are going through similar experiences at the same time. Not only can you encourage them, they can encourage you.
Even though no one prefers to go through the trenches - it's a part of our lives and a vital part of the refining process. I'm thankful for my current trench buddies - Molly, Leanne, and Betty, Sherry to name a few.
It's funny to think that had I not moved out of Lafayette, I might not have these connections. I don't know that I would have had a blog otherwise; and though several of these ladies were more acquaintances, I cerainly feel more of a kinship to them/you now. God bless and know that I am praying for all of you!

That made me want to cry...
Its funny how you always want to know someone more, but life circumstances just don't allow it... This has been a rewarding experience for me... a blessing I did not expect!
Hope you are having a good day. I must go pick up our house! It looks like a tornadoe went through it!

Isn't it funny how when we were all at the same church we all hardly knew each other? God does amazing things to bring people together...even when we are physically very far apart! I'm glad to be in the trenches with you, friend! We can hold each other up and keep each other going! You have been a blessing to me lately, thank you. Hope you and Matthew are feeling better. Have a great weekend! Praying for you, trench buddy!

Hi Babe....isn't it amazing how the Lord provides! We are His children, yet always amazed at His goodness, patience, kindness. As the song says: Life would be worthless without HIM!!! The longer I live, the more I realize that God IS in control. As a Mother, you have blessed my heart, Kris, by your maturity and wise expressions and choices. Dad and I are so thankful for Mark and you as husband and wife, now Mommy and Daddy...The choices are always BEST when left up to Him! I am thankful, too, for your many friends in life's trenches. There are many that love and care for you...God is GOOD! Steve, Sherrie and family are a blessing, too, of course....Dad and I just sit and think about His goodness to our family! Amazing...just think, together ~ forever because of Jesus.
Love, Mom
