Somehow, despite rarely having contact with the "outside world" the past three weeks, I developed a cold. Of course, being a first time mom, I was concerned about passing it on to a newborn.
And then it happened - Matthew started getting congested Monday, we brought him in to be checked - the dr. said it sort of a pre-cold state. Well, two days later - the yellow gunky drainage shows up.
We brought him back in - the nurse practioner was encouraging and helpful.
Thankfully, esp. for Mark ;o), I'm not freaking out like I very possibly could have. Mark reminds me, as does the Holy Spirit, that these things are out of my control. I have to continue to trust God for the outcome, for wisdom, patience and strength.

Matthew had his first cold at 2 weeks also...its the first of many, I guarantee you! Your nursing immune system will serve you well...Mark on the other hand may be in the shock of his life! Dana was basically sick with Christopher for the first 2 years it seemed like!! But we are all much better now!
Hang in there...
I'm glad you and Betty can do Nyquil...I can't because of my other meds and Dana can't because it makes him MEAN! So, we just tough it out (well... sort of...one of us picks up the slack when the other can't!)
I love all the praying and encouragment we have been giving each other (you,me, Molly, Betty, Christine)...isn't amazing how God uses the internet also to unite His children!!
Take care of yourself!
Love,
Leanne
Oh, no! It must be the thing these days! I am starting with the scratchy throat and congestion, too. Thankfully, I haven't passed it to Caleb yet (key word). How funny that we are all doing the Nyquil thing these days! Like Leanne said, the encouragement and prayers have really been a boost to me these days! It's funny that we all are going through the same things at the same time. We have a great God! Take care. Praying for you and Matthew. Hey, what happened with Mark's suspitious kidney stone symptoms?! Is he ok?
hang in there girlie....i hope you are both feeling better soon.
