schedules and such

I'm so thankful for the past week and a half! I "put" Matthew on a schedule and he's doing well. I decided that he was old enough and big enogh to eat roughly every four hours. I keep hoping that through the night - it will stretch out to five or six - but - in time. Actually, the past two nights he's gone five hours between his late night feeding and his early morning feeding - I'm hoping that it's not a fluke :o) We start him out sleeping on his back/side - but he much prefers his belly when sleeping - he'll sleep more soundly once we "flip" him over near the end of the night.

Life gets so much easier when they are on a schedule. You can then begin to schedule your life and routine.

Hi Kristi, it's good to catch up on your blog after 3 weeks away! We are starting the schedule thing with Caleb now that we are back home, too. Hopefully we will all get more sleep! He is a belly sleeper, too, but we only put him that way right now while we are awake because he sometimes bonks his head down face first still. He seems to sleep more soundly also when he is on his tummy. Hope you are all doing well. How is the exercise/diet program going? Hang in there! :) Take care.

Hello again, Babe...nice we could chat - and fill you in on Dad's report. Praise the Lord! Yes, it's always soooo much better when the little guys sleep through the night! Gives you a more (new) normal life, too. Does he have a favorite "thing" to sleep with and hang on to? You guys always liked those soft gauzie diapers...not all little ones have something, tho, I guess. Anyway, he is such a cutie!!! Love hearing his "talking to himself"...
Love you bunches, and are thankful for you all,
Mom

Sigh....I love this picture - it's our screen saver right now...does his hair have a little reddish tint to it? He reminds me of how Jared looked at the camera - like trying to figure out what it is all about! You are sooooo blessed!

So glad that you have little Matthew on a schedule. Will be glad and thankful when he zzzz's all night...(for the most part!) What a cutie. Still listening to his "talking" on the answering machine...precious boy! Much love, Mom
