Raking fools

We are raking fools this time of the year! With 40+ bags of leaves already raked up and many more to go - needless to say, raking isn't as much fun as it was the first time out - but we make it work! If you look at the third picture up close - you can see that Matthew hasn't lost his sense of humor, yet!

I took our handsome guy's pictures today! How to choose when we have such a photogenic guy? I love them all - they show his personality! Oops - I think I got one in there twice - sorry about that.

Indianapolis - October 2014

Mark had a conference in Indianapolis over the weekend. This gave Matthew and me a great opportunity to spend time "back home" in Indiana! We had a wonderful hotel room at the Omni downtown(where Matthew had fun taking pictures, too) - right across from Lucas Oil Stadium where the Colts play. We got to go to some of my favorite places in Indy. We met G'ma and G'pa H for lunch at Gray Brothers! Yummmm We also got to go to the Children's Museum, hang out with Aunt Janie for a day and go up to Purdue!! Matthew thought college sounded great after I told him that he might have days where he only had one or two classes. I encouraged Matthew to get used to napping on the couches in the Union - since I'm pretty sure that Mark spent time sleeping on them, too. He also got his first Dog-N-Suds meal. Mark had a good conference and we had safe travels. It was a lovely weekend.

I wanted to get a nice picture of Matthew after church - this is as good as I got. Goofy kid!

Loomin' time

G'ma H bought Matthew a loom!! We had fun with our first pot holder - it was definitely a team effort!

G'ma & G'pa H were here!

We had a great time with G'ma and G'pa H!! We did lots of fun things - we went to Ann Arbor, an Amish community a couple of times, St. Vincent's and even a Fall Festival!! As you can see, Matthew greatly enjoyed the time, too! We're looking forward to the next visit :o)

Apple picking 2014

Our field trip today was going to an apple orchard. This is the same one that we went to last year. We actually picked apples this year! The doughnuts were as good and warm as we remembered. I fear that those turkeys will end up on someone's dinner table in a few months!
