Boston and Cambridge 2012

As long as you're not driving, what is not to love about Boston and Cambridge??!! I was so happy that Mark had research to do at Harvard - and so thankful that he and I could get away while Matthew played with grandparents! Getting to see friends, Harvard Square, the T, the Freedom Trail, Beacon Hill, North End (Little Italy), ICA (contemporary art museum). Despite the heat and my blistered feet - it was wonderful!

We just got back from our summer vacation in PA. We LOVE OIP'S ("oyps")!!

Swim lessons

Matthew got to take swimming lessons this summer. He was the only one in his class to keep his hair pretty dry for the whole two weeks. My dad said that that took a lot of talent ;o) His favorite thing was floating. He really did love his classes with his buddy Samuel. Now to keep him enjoying the water and convincing him that getting his head wet is a good thing! :o)

This hot dry summer necessitated buying a bigger pool and lots of squirt gun fights with Daddy! Doesn't Mark have great squirt gun attire??

Summer homework

Matthew's summer homework each day is to practice writing his letters - he is progressing as the summer goes along. Thank you to Mark for getting this started and keeping it going!!

Matthew had fun jumping in puddles and using his umbrella. Had we known in May how little rain we would be getting this summer - I would have cherished this rain much more!
