(August - the thing I'd rather forget about)

So, here I am acknowledging the fact that I broke my wrist the very first day of August!! Had surgery 8/8/16. I can choose to be very thankful - it could have been worse and it is healing well. I will choose to be thankful, even though it has been a huge inconvenience.

First Swim Meet

Matthew had his first swim meet today! Mark and I are so proud of Matthew! He was super nervous last night, but this morning, he was ready to go! He raced in five different events and did a great job! Even better - he loved it!!

The benefits of earning and saving money!!

Matthew has been saving all of his money for a while - allowance and money earned from toys he sold at a garage sale - so that he could purchase an electric guitar! Thanks to a sale at our local music store, he was able to purchase one today!! He is a very happy 8 1/2 year old!!

Soccer!

Just finished his Spring soccer season! It was his best season.

Drive-In

I was able to - finally - take Matthew to his first Drive-In movie!! We saw Angry Birds! He loved it! It finished at 11pm - so we opted out of the second movie. Must do this again!
