Blessings
Matthew is six weeks old today!!! Praise God! A couple of days ago, I started feeding him around every four hours and he's done well. He's doing much better with his feedings - we don't have to poke and prod him quite as much. It's been almost two weeks since he's thrown up. He noticed his fist this week - had that cute crosseyed look when he was looking at it :o) Matthew holds his head up - for what seems to be - a long time when one of us is holding him. He's also been smiling at us more - that's the biggest treat!!
One of the great things about Mark teaching at the university is the pool of babysitters that we now have! Mark arranged for Matthew's first sitter tomorrow so that we can go out for a movie and sushi - all about forty minutes away.
God has been good to us old, first time parents!!

And the award goes to............
Say "hello" to the most ungrateful person around - me. Ever have those times when all you focus on is the negative instead of all of the great things?
I mean, we never have an excuse to be ungrateful - to God or anyone else - about our lives; yet, somehow, I manage to do a very good job of making my life sound like a miserable existence - which it is not!

First day at church
Matthew went to church today!! Being that it's a smaller church - they don't have too many little babies so everyone was very excited to see Matthew come. The other gal at church who was due the same day that I was - and had her little Jude a week early - I'm not bitter - brought her baby today, too. He gets his own crib the whole time that he's in that phase of the nursery and they post a picture of the baby on the window outside of the nursery above their crib so everyone walking past can see what baby is in there - if he ever makes it in the crib. I have a hunch that he will be held the entire time :o)
Matthew was a hit!
