Phase one of summer vacation 2009 is officially over. We left PA this morning amid many tears from Grandma and Grandpa E. It was quite sad for all of us grown ups! Lord willing, we'll be back next summer. I'm so thankful that we had the flexibility with our schedules to stay an extra week! I do understand that it is a luxury - I am very thankful for it!
We had a wonderful time!!! What more can I say, except that we are already looking forward to next summer!
Tomorrow, we head to Indy. We're in Columbus, OH tonight. Matthew did sooooo well being on the road for eight hours! We are so thankful for that, as well!
We'll be in IN the rest of the week - then back to reality. One thing that I am really excited about is my interview with another hospital. It was pretty inevitable that at some point I would have to commute again. This hospital is 45 minutes up the interstate. Lord willing, this opporutunity will work out positively and I will again be working in critical care. I still have a position at our local ED - at this point, however, once everyone is done with their vacations, I won't have many hours. I would love to not have to work outside the home - but, that's not where we are at - or ever will be as long as we're here.

Hello, from PA!
We are having a wonderful time in PA! We arrived safely on the fourth of July. That seems to be our norm - we arrived on the fourth two years ago, as well. We decided to break up the trip over three days - that was the best situation for MTE.
As seems to be Matthew's usual - although he loves his Grandma's - he LOVES his Grandpa's.
The weather guy complains every day about the "year of no summer" - but Mark and I are revelling in the mild temps and low humidity - considering that we had been drenched in 100 degree heat and humidity for a couple of weeks before we left.
It's been a challenge to find a wireless spot in town - Mark and I sitting in Panera now. G'ma and G'pa took MTE out for lunch and are putting him down for his nap.
Mark had a great time on Monday with two of his best college friends. Matt - who lives in TX(our little MTE's namesake) was in town visiting family and Aaron drove up from Richmond, VA for the reunion. It's neat to think that most of his college buddies have entered Christian ministry in one form or another.
One of the nicest perks for me has been the two week membership at one of the local health clubs - I've really enjoyed going there in the mornings.
